Advocacy - Helsinki

The aim of the first study visit to Helsinki focusing on Advocacy is for Globe Art Point to share and create knowledge with IMMART and FACE on how they work with advocacy in the arts and culture sector. There will be in depth talks with G.A.P. and the organisations and institutions they work with over the course of three days in and around Helsinki.

  • Discussion on making of the ethical guidelines Forum Artis has drawn up for the field of art and culture to facilitate the self-regulation of the field, as commissioned by the Ministry of Education and Culture. Also, we will discuss how Forum Artis as an umbrella organisation does advocacy work.

  • Discussion on the Finnish grant system and the foreign-born creatives possibilities within the system from grant receiver to a decision maker. The Dialogue Cards – the cards are a new tool designed to open the concepts of cultural diversity and sustainable development and to promote equality and sustainability in arts and culture services.
