Our Network

Where meaningful connections are made

As well as networking in Denmark, IMMART is continually establishing ties and welcoming partnerships across the Nordic region and beyond.

Networking for Knowledge

IMMART believes that having access to and participating actively in networks across individual and organisational differences is a pathway to social inclusion in society.

It is through these diverse networks that we gain new and useful knowledge that can ease navigation, lead to new friendships and, not least, to work opportunities.

If your organisation work with inclusion and shares our mission of diversifying artscapes, get in touch and let us know you are out there!

IMMART Network

The IMMART Network started out in 2016 as a Facebook network and has grown organically. We currently have almost 1000 members and approximately one third of the members actively use the page.

The main vehicle we use to create a regular face-to-face meeting of peers is the IMMART Dinner, which takes place in creative spaces and in private homes. So far we have held dinners in Copenhagen, Malmö and Helsinki.

Behind the scenes our network expands to a multitude of different arts and culture stakeholders in the Nordic Region, Europe and the Americas. Join us at ARTIVAL 2023 to meet many of our Nordic partners!

NEDNAC – Network for the Diversification of Nordic Arts and Culture

In 2018/2019, with start-up network funding from Nordic Culture Fund and Nordic Culture Point, IMMART initiated the Network for the Diversification of Nordic Arts and Culture (NEDNAC) to find ways to strengthen artistic and cultural cooperation in the Nordic region with regard to artists and cultural workers of foreign origin, together with domestic actors and institutions. The Nordic collaboration was between stakeholders in Denmark (IMMART), Finland (Globe Art Point, Culture for All, CUPORE) and Sweden (Fairooz Tamimi).

Networking Across Borders

The main outcome for IMMART from the NEDNAC project has been the establishment of solid ties in other Nordic countries upon which we are building the foundations for a further knowledge gathering and sharing in all of the Nordic countries.

As well as initiating a Nordic network ourselves (NEDNAC), IMMART has participated in meetings of other Nordic networks such as Sweden-based Konst Detox, AOOO – Artists Out of Office, and are members of the Finland-based Nordic Network for Norm Critical Leadership

If your organisation work with or for artists with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds get in touch and let us know you are out there!

IMMART co-creates opportunities for networking, for knowledge exchange, and for paid work in the arts and culture scene at home and abroad – no matter where you are from or what your cultural heritage is!
