Our Association

IMMART is a legal entity, classified as a non-profit association Denmark (CVR.: 39313774). Based in Copenhagen, we have been around since 2016 although we operated under the name Immigrant Art between 2016 and 2018.

We’re an organisation that strongly believes in the power of social and professional networks. Read more here.

The people in our organisation actively support our vison and mission – together with those in and outside of the wider arts and culture community, they ensure IMMART’s continual evolution.

The Incredibles are those who execute the tasks, projects, and activities that we share with the world.

 
Nicol Savinetti, PhD (UK/DK)

Nicol is the founder of IMMART. She is a social scientist with expert knowledge on migration, social policy and in/exclusion. At IMMART Nicol is the overall project manager and administrator for IMMART. She also works with outreach, community and project development and is the Chair of the Board of our association.

Sacramento Roselló Martinez, PhD (ES/DK)

Sacra is an Assistant Professor at Georgetown University with expert knowledge on Spanish language and literature, medieval literature, post-colonial theory and feminism. Sacra represents IMMART at debates, workshops, conferences and meetings and also manages our outreach work with universities and institutes of higher education in Denmark and abroad.

Letícia Stallone PhD (BRA/DK)

Letícia is a research curator with an in depth knowledge of working with and for marginalised artistic communities in Brazil and Denmark. At IMMART, Letícia curates exhibitions, conducts key research for our projects and also works with project design and knowledge development.

Angélique Sanossian (SYR/ARM/DK)

Angélique is a visual artist working mainly with photography, and admin genius currently employed at International Media Support. At IMMART Angélique is a regular blogger and curates, innovates and manages art projects.

 
Shaanea Mendis (SRL/DK)

Shaanea is an established artist represented by Saskia Fernando Gallery in Sri Lanka and Gallerie Lorien in Denmark. and part-time event coordinator. At IMMART, Shaanea takes care of our Instagram stories.

 

 

THE LEGAL EAGLES

The Legal Eagles are the Board of our association who support the everyday operations and administer the association.

Nicol Savinetti, PhD (UK/DK)

Nicol is the Chairperson at IMMART. She is a Doctor of Social Science. She has worked and conducted research in the fields of migration, human rights, sustainability, the arts, travel and mobility. Nicol is currently employed as the Coordination of the HUM:Global initiative under the Dean’s Office at the Faculty of Humanities, University of Copenhagen.

Mette Diego Roll (DK)

Mette a a Board Member. She is the Head of SME Segment at the Danish Trade Council. She has been in diplomatic service for several years, holding senior positions in Spain and the UK. Mette works on developing strategic partnerships.

Elinor Trier (UK/DK)

Eli is a is a contemporary British artist & illustrator, and a strategic community builder. Eli works on streamlining IMMARTs internal processes and is currently designing our marketing and PR strategy Melanie is working and developing the IMMART Membership program

Janice Dunn (UK/DK)

Janice is a Board Member. She is a freelance theatre director and writer. Janice is currently employed at Imagine Theatre (UK), as well as Skuespillerakademiet and UngScene in Copenhagen. She is working on developing collaborative projects for IMMART.

Melanie Dawn (CA/DK)

Melanie is the founder and owner of Art Escape Studios  Melanie has a wealth of experience in establishing and running arts organisations and is also a trained chef. Melanie is working on developing IMMART Grow and IMMART’s Membership program

Sophie Bruun (DK)

Sophie is a Board Member. Sophie has a solid professional and educational background in the field of the arts and cultural heritage. She is the current Director of Ørestad Innovation City Copenhagen.

Dorthe Witting (DK)

Dorthe is the current Vice-Chairperson for the industry organisation Danmark’s Restauranter og Caféer, and Head of HUman Resources at MASH. Dorthe works on supporting the administration of IMMART.

 

THE BRAINY BUNCH

The Brainy Bunch are our fantastic team of international advisors who are there for us whatever we might need, and who are active members of the IMMART team.

Enric Bas (ES)

Enrique is a Professor of Sociology at the University of Alicante. He is the Founder of the foresight laboratory, Futurlab. 

Helle Holm Thomsen (DK)

Helle is an independent attorney of law. She has solid expertise in immigration, citizenship, international and family law.  Helle also participates in a number of international networks which both contribute to professional insight and can be relevant for solving cases with an international aspect.

Maria Elo (FI/DK)

Maria is an Associate Professor at the University of Southern Denmark. Her research focuses on among other things international business, entrepreneurship and migration, cultural and language capabilities.

Yohann Floch (FR)

Yohann is specialist in arts and culture advocacy, international networking and cultural policy among other things. He is the Founder and President of FACE.

Yong Sun Gullach (DK)

Yong Sun is a communications expert, performative artist and civil rights fighter. She is the Founder of Adoptionspolitisk Forum, among other projects.

Susanna Inkinen (FI/DK)

Susanna is a specialist in conflict sensetive journalism and civilian crises management among other things. She is the Media Advisor for the NGO, International Media Support.

Tina Lorien (DK)

Tina is an autodidact photographer, gallerist and curator. She is the owner of Gallerie Lorien Frederiksberg and Gallerie Lorien Bornholm

Kirsten Mols (DK)

Kirsten is a human rights activist and a speaker on LGBTQI issues. She works seasonally at Kulturhuset Rejsestadeln, and is a business consultant with expertise in service management, and digitalisation.

Tomi Purovaara (FI)

Tomi is a specialist in cultural advocacy, project leadership and strategic planning. He is the Cultural Director for the City of Kotka, Finland.

Sune Skadegaard Thorsen (DK)

Sune is a human rights defender, the CEO and Founder of Global CSR, and the owner of Global Art Gallery.
