In our first year of being, we held an international arts festival, Artival. Back then writer and entrepreneur Sofie Kragh-Müller took on board a wonderful project that I had read about that was done in the USA, Raining Poetry. Unfortunately the collaboration with a Copenhagen-based writing school fell through, but we never let go of the idea.

The wheels were set in motion again last year after a few months of knowing and experiencing poet and dramaturge, Pauline Jupin. It was when I went to her readings at Poesiens Hus/ Den Frie and listened to her speak about her own project If it rains then I … (S’il pleut alors je …), that i realized that she was the perfect person to share this project with.

Here we are, six months later with a great team gathered together through the ImmigrantART network, funding applications submitted and we are on the look out for more people. The project is so beautiful that everyone involved so far has agreed to volunteer their time for it, with complete dedication whether we receive funding or not and we would like to continue in this spirit.

We are planning a happening for spring 2018 … we have writers, performance artists, and other creatives in the team and we are on the lookout for visual artists to document and share the expereince in images – photography and film … we would love to have a small team (2 – 4 people) for each.

If the idea and this post has awakened the smallest or biggest spark in you get in touch with Nicol and Pauline as soon as possible …

Have a wonderful day … whatever the weather …

Nicol

Nicol
