Mingle & Move

Mingle and Move is an art-focused networking event for artists and cultural workers who have an ambition of making the arts and culture sector more inclusive.

At the event we shall incorporate movement and changing perspectives into the experience at Design Werck.

As well as having the opportunity to mix and mingle with artists and key cultural stakeholders, IMMART will share the resources developed for artists with migration backgrounds and arts and cultural institutions and organisations during the Erasmus Plus project, Access, Advocacy and Active inclusion. Pathways to Increasing Diversity in the Arts and Culture Sector (AAA). Throughout the evening we shall also enjoy an exhibition, performances and conversations with six artists from the IMMART Network who also participated in the AAA project.

Angélique is an activist, artist, yogi, runner, dancer and a mom. “I love photography because it taught me how to see... It has profoundly changed my perspective to life in order to express my feelings and display humanity with its different cultures using my own lenses: my eyes. Eventually photography made me become who I am today; a better person.”

Chris has been dedicated to artistically exploring cultural differences between the US and Denmark from the social and political to the aesthetic. He recycles construction materials into classical pieces of artwork that resemble stained glass. The resulting works are a way for Danes to view their home through a foreigner's eyes, and perhaps see it in a new light.

Tamar's dialogues with clay moves beyond conventional binaries, taking her audience beyond the confines of right and wrong, happy and sad, into the realm of ambiguity and wander. The vulnerability intrinsic to her artworks elevates their aesthetic beauty to a transformative level, holding within them a profound cathartic influence.
